OVERDOG — Risk Disclosure
Effective date: 21 June 2026
This Risk Disclosure is part of, and is incorporated into, the Terms of Service. The disclaimers (Terms section 10) and the limitation of liability, including the liability cap (Terms section 11), apply in full to everything below, to the fullest extent permitted by the law that applies to you.
Read this before you deposit or trade. By using OVERDOG (the "Service") you confirm that you have read, understood, and freely accepted every risk in this document, and that you use the Service entirely at your own risk and discretion.
1. You can lose everything you stake
Trading event-outcome positions carries a substantial risk of loss. You can lose the entire amount you put in. Outcomes are uncertain. Only ever stake money you can afford to lose. OVERDOG does not, and cannot, promise you any profit, return, or result.
2. Nothing here is advice — it is information
Market prices, other users' positions and track records, crowd data, "smart-money" or any other signal, and everything else on the Service are information only. None of it is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice, a recommendation, or a prediction of any outcome. No one can honestly promise you a winning result. Any decision you make is your own.
3. OVERDOG is not the house
OVERDOG is not a bookmaker and is not the counterparty to your trades. You trade against other market participants at prices the market sets. OVERDOG does not set odds, does not take the other side of your positions, and does not decide or grade outcomes — markets are resolved by the underlying protocol and its oracle. OVERDOG is a tool for accessing those markets, nothing more.
4. Market, protocol, and oracle risk
The markets, their prices, and their resolution depend on the underlying on-chain protocol and its oracle, which are outside OVERDOG's control. A market may resolve in a way you disagree with; an oracle may be delayed, disputed, or behave unexpectedly; liquidity may be thin, so selling early may be partial or at a poor price, and there is no guaranteed exit price. OVERDOG is not responsible and not liable for the behaviour, decisions, delays, failures, or resolution of the protocol or its oracle.
5. Crypto-asset and blockchain risk
Crypto-assets are highly volatile; their value can move sharply and independently of your positions. Blockchain transactions are final and irreversible — a deposit, trade, or withdrawal cannot be undone, and a transfer to a wrong address or over the wrong network cannot be recovered by anyone, including OVERDOG. Networks can be congested, delayed, forked, or fail. You are responsible for verifying every asset, network, address, and amount before you act.
6. Third-party freeze and asset risk (outside our control)
The crypto-assets you use — including stablecoins — are issued and controlled by third parties, not OVERDOG. Those third parties (for example, a stablecoin issuer) and government authorities can freeze, blacklist, seize, or render unusable assets or addresses, with or without notice, and entirely outside OVERDOG's control. OVERDOG is not responsible and not liable for any such action by any issuer, network, authority, or other third party.
7. Custody and security risk — your responsibility
OVERDOG holds wallet keys for your convenience, but you can export your key and withdraw at any time, and OVERDOG does not hold, withhold, freeze, or fraud-check your funds. The flip side of that freedom is that your security is your responsibility. OVERDOG cannot recover a lost or compromised sign-in method, two-factor authentication, or exported key, and cannot reverse a transaction made from a compromised account. OVERDOG will never ask you for your key, your codes, or a password, and will never message you first asking you to move funds — treat any such request as fraud. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OVERDOG is not liable for losses arising from phishing, unauthorized access, or your handling of your credentials or key.
8. Availability and operational risk
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." OVERDOG does not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, and does not guarantee its continued operation. The Service, or parts of it, may be changed, suspended, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice. Your funds live on-chain in your own wallet rather than on our books, and we impose no hold or approval on a withdrawal — but be precise about the exported key: it is the wallet's owner and it is not on its own enough to move the funds, because the wallet only accepts instructions through Polymarket's own contracts. If OVERDOG stops operating, your access depends on Polymarket and the chain, not on us — but your access to the Service itself may end.
9. Legal and regulatory risk — yours to manage
The legal status of crypto prediction markets and online betting is uncertain and varies by place, and can change. OVERDOG does not block access by location and does not represent that the Service is lawful where you are. It is solely your responsibility to determine whether your use is legal and to comply with the laws that apply to you (Terms, section 3). The Service may become restricted or unavailable in your jurisdiction, and you bear any consequences of using it where it is not permitted.
10. Tax is your responsibility
You are solely responsible for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes that apply to your activity on the Service. OVERDOG does not provide tax advice and does not withhold, report, or account for taxes on your behalf.
11. No guarantee; limitation of liability
OVERDOG makes no warranty or guarantee of any kind about the Service, any outcome, any return, or the conduct of any third party. To the fullest extent permitted by the law that applies to you, OVERDOG is not liable for any loss — including trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunity, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — arising out of or relating to your use of the Service or any of the risks above. OVERDOG's total aggregate liability is capped as set out in the Terms (section 11): the greater of the total fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, or US$100.
12. Responsible gambling
Betting can be harmful. We tell you plainly rather than in slogans: you can lose your stake, so only stake what you can afford to lose.
13. Your acknowledgment
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure, that you freely and knowingly assume all of these risks, and that you accept full responsibility for your decisions and for compliance with the laws that apply to you.
